Authors’ Instructions

Introduction

ASA invites prospective authors to submit original papers in the form of either a 1-page abstract or a 3-page full paper to EDAS by 14th November 2025.

A single author can present a maximum of two papers. If an author has more than two accepted papers, a co-author must register to present the additional papers.
At least one author must register for each paper to be presented.

Three (3) page full paper:
Please prepare abstracts using this 3 page WORD template
or this 3 page LaTeX template and submit them to EDAS by 14th November 2025.
Accepted full papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore (IEEE Xplore inclusion, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements).

One Page Abstracts:
Please prepare abstracts in Microsoft Word using this 1 page template and submit them to EDAS by 14th November 2025.Accepted one (1) page abstracts will be available from this website.

Notification of acceptance: 12th December 2025

Terms and Conditions

  1. The ASA is intended to encourage communication and networking within the antennas and electromagnetics community in Australasia.
  2. The 18th ASA is open to anyone working or studying within the Australasian region which, for the purposes of this event, is defined as Australia, New Zealand, and their respective territories.
  3. As a minimum, all submissions are expected to consist of a one page abstract (including figures and references) and formatted according to the symposium template (available from the website).  
  4. To provide constructive feedback to authors, all abstracts will be subject to a single-pass review process.
  5. All registrants will receive password access to the symposium website from which they will be able to access the submitted abstracts.
  6. All student submissions who have indicated they want to be part of the Student Prize competition will be assessed in advance of the symposium by a judging panel to nominate a shortlist of presentations for the event in February. It is expected that all students who make submissions will be able to present as part of the symposium, should they be nominated. Any student not wishing to present will not be considered for the student prize.

  8. By making a submission, all registrants acknowledge that their submissions will be made available to all other registrants via IEEE Xplore or the symposium website.  Authors should keep this requirement in mind when considering what material they intend to include.
  9. All registrants are encouraged to actively participate during the symposium (during which opportunities to ask questions of the presenters will be provided), and to access any and all of the submissions on the symposium website and to communicate with the authors directly if they have any questions after the event.
